What do you think?

Looking forward to multiplayer. This kind of reminds me of some other shooter brawler type games I've played. I like the mechanic of a constantly turning turret that requires constant repositioning. I think it could lend itself well to a more back-and-forth experience when fighting other players as you take turns shooting and dodging.

Some things I think can be improved:

Graphics/Gamefeel:

- I think there might be too much bloom in some cases. It's great for there to be a slight bloom halo around the bullets but to me it can get kind of overwhelming, especially if you're playing white.

- I wish there was more feedback when someone gets hit. Currently there is just an impact sound and a tiny explosion from the projectile. I think it would feel better if something happens specifically to the recipient of the attack. Here's a few ideas to try. I would look at doing one or two of them:

- Make the surface of the thing temporarily flash between being tinted or completely dark red and its normal color

- Make the object temporarily flash between normal and translucent or transparent.

- Make the object quickly change from its normal size to slightly smaller then back to its normal size

Gameplay/Input:

- Mashing buttons is fine and I think that it should be in the game for people who like to button mash for faster results. But I think players should be able to hold down the button and charge up a shot which does more damage or travels through enemies or both. Makes the payoff for getting in the perfect position feel really good.

- A rule of thumb I've taken to heart is that there should be a good reason a player doesn't mash buttons like shoot. It would be neat to see if a player moves faster when they haven't pushed the shoot button in the last second. That would make hit and run strategy more effective, so you could boost then escape with a faster move speed.

Audio:

- The sound that plays when a projectile collision happens is too loud. It should be no more noticeable than the sound that plays when a shot is fired.

- It would be nice if there was a sound that played when you tried to dash but the cooldown isn't ready yet, even if it's just a quiet sound.

Also, a couple more things I like. I like the level title cards that come up, and the way the menu music is a simplified version of the main game music is a nice touch. I look forward to a variety of tracks so that it's not just the same one each round.
